[ Max doesn't reply, because... Well, she's done her Max thing and gotten in her own head, thinking about how...idly jealous she is over a normal sibling relationship.

It's weirdly how she feels about Lucas and Erica sometimes, even though with the way they bicker she'd never tell them. She's not about to make her bullshit with Billy other people's problem...again. It's that again, in a way, so Max disengages, and tomorrow, it won't be an issue.

And you know, she endeavors to make it not an issue, even though driving around in her dead brother's car doesn't exactly lend well to that. That's just what happens, for the record, she pulls up to the skate park in a late 70s muscle car. Her driving, for the record has...improved, by virtue of needing to if she's going to be regularly driving into the city. But her stop is a little...rough. ]

[Leo for his part has been skating vaguely around the underpass to warm himself up for more skating. Silly, very, but he's having fun. He should probably worry about going to school, but he honestly doesn't care right now. Leo just wants to have fun.

He moves nearer the entrance as the time approaches for Max's arrival. He is not disappointed.

That is a cool car. A very cool car. Be it one that comes to a rough stop. He slows to a stop, stepping off his board before lightly kicking it up into his waiting hand.]

Yoooo, Max! Nice wheels! You ready to skate?

[ Max kills the motor after making sure...ah, yeah, mostly in the parking space, only bumping the curb a little, this is a good parking job for Max Mayfield.

She kills the engine and climbs out, throwing her shoulder in an attempt at a cool half-shrug. ]

Ready enough.

[ As in, she's still worried her legs are going to give out, stupid fucking things, but it's highly likely she can spin it as hooves being hard to manage.

She grabs her skateboard from the passenger seat—same board as a few months ago, created through a hoverboard and some wheels—and locks up the car. ]

[With the agreement, Leo is more than ready to skate. He whoops loudly, grinning at Max and tossing his board down. It jolts forward and Leo leaps onto it with a practiced ease.]

Skate and live in the moment, Max!

[He trusts Max has it handled, unaware of her own uncertainty as he turns the board back around to skate towards Max casually.] Sounds better than skate or die, right?

[ Max lets out a very deerlike snort as she follows along. ]

Yeah, better. Not completely undead-including but it's an improvement already.

[ She forces confidence to offset her nerves. ]

Hey, I'm working on it! It's gonna take work shopping before it's just right, but I'll get there. [He bats back with a grin at Max, he waggled his eyeridges as he continues to skate forward.

He only draws to a stop once they're actively in the skate park itself.] I know if it's weak sauce, I'll learn fast.

[ Max follows, though still on foot. She hasn't really been here a lot, honestly. Mostly out of worry of other actual skaters seeing how...poor her skills are, what with her changes and her injuries and everything. The only times she's really frequented it were the brief ones where she was actually human again during the glitches.

So she's taking everything in.

Her eyebrow raises at the unfamiliar slang, but Max can intuit from context clues, and...just how it sounds. ]
