<MADMAX>
and by that i mean im up and walking again
its almost like nothing happened
<Nobori>
[Seems a little doubtful - but then again, what does Michael know about being dead? Like, the actual experience of dying and then walking around in your body again afterwards?]
Well, that's good.
Sucks about next month, though. Though I guess that depends on how you feel about it.
I got all my changes at once - got it over with at least.
<MADMAX>
i know i have a lot to watch out for ive been reading the damn guide
<eudaemonikos>
[He's read that stuff too, and he's pretty sure someone would have had to rip her heart out or something by now if she were? Michael could handle something like that, but on the whole he'd prefer not to for several reasons!]
<MADMAX>
whats the difference
theyre still dead right
<eudaemonikos>
<MADMAX>
<eudaemonikos>
Means they can't die unless someone gets at it, but honestly it all sounds very complicated to me.
[At least he only has to guard his own body, and not some random other thing that isn't always around!]
<MADMAX>
what the fuck thats twisted
<eudaemonikos>
It's bad enough having to look after my own fragile mortal body without having an extra fragile heart-box to deal with on the side.
<MADMAX>
i guess if we keep coming back now we arent really mortal though
sure not what id call it
<eudaemonikos>
You just come back afterwards.
It's like how still existing in the afterlife doesn't mean you didn't die.
<MADMAX>
i guess
hows that work anyway
the afterlife
not the torture hell part of anything like that just like when someone dies can they hear things from the living world at all
like prayers
<eudaemonikos>
They can find out what's happening there if they really want to - asking a Janet or another immortal, mostly.
But the timelines aren't synchronous, so that's still sort of iffy. You aren't too likely to find out about anything from back on Earth until it's already happened.
<MADMAX>
i see
whats a janet
<eudaemonikos>
They contain all the knowledge of the universe and help run the afterlife.
<MADMAX>
why are they called janets
<eudaemonikos>
I don't really know why that is. I wasn't anybody important, back when all the initial afterlife stuff got set up - I don't really know how or why they did a lot of the things they did.
Definitely wasn't in on those meetings.
<MADMAX>
really dont know why it wasnt margaret or beatrice or something like that but sure
immortal species called janet that hold all the universes knowledge why not
cant be weirder than anything else
<eudaemonikos>
But that should be the weirdest most of them come across.
I mean other than maybe the Time Knife.
(That's just the edge of the universe where millions of other parallel universes overlap to form a razor sharp singularity in space-time that will scatter you over countless realities if you get too close to it.)
<MADMAX>
<eudaemonikos>
I don't really get anything out of lying about it, though.
[Which isn't quite "I would not lie about it", because if there was a reason then he probably would. A good reason, though!]
<MADMAX>
what the hell does that mean
<eudaemonikos>
<MADMAX>
just saying hahaha would be less confusing but alright i guess the futures weird
