Max, how dare you forget! I'm the turtliest of guys! My twin coming a close second.
I've been to like... maybe eight classes. Yeah. Sounds about right. I did some school here! Donnie's been to more than I have.
Like, how do you guys handle it? I mean, everyone else seems to sit still forever and pay attention so easy. It's unfair. I keep losing track of what even we're supposed to be doing.
[Its the ADHD, Leo. ADHD paired with never dealing with a school environment before.]
<MADMAX>
sometimes its hard but usually thats because of something else going on
[ Read: The Depression and The Trauma and The Generally Bad Coping Mechanisms ]
i guess im used to it because it was mandatory back home
you could get a tutor or something but also you dont HAVE to go to school
it is optional
<TheCoolestTurtle>
I know it's optional, but, if I wanna keep my job I gotta go to school, or at least try, Komeada asked me that much. I kinda like my job, there are so many snacks there...
<MADMAX>
you work for him?
[ A neat little sidestep of the question. ]
<TheCoolestTurtle>
Yeah? I mean, he runs the 8/12's. Pretty nice place.
<MADMAX>
a bit far into the city for me
i didnt know he was hiring teenagers
<TheCoolestTurtle>
Yeah, he's got a few teenagers on staff. Not exactly a super hard job. The store restocks itself. Its primarily about manning the register and doing deliveries.
<MADMAX>
im never going to get used to magic
<TheCoolestTurtle>
Embrace the magic, Max, its very cool.

<TheCoolestTurtle>
I'd say you and my twin would get along, but you'd probably beat him up for his lunch money. I say this affectionately because he is a huge nerd, lol.
<MADMAX>
most of my friends are huge nerds and i dont let them forget that
but i hate bullies
<TheCoolestTurtle>
All my friends kinda are across the spectrum of nerd to jock ratio.
Only person I really give a hard time is my twin. Everyone else get pretty mild pranks, since a little fun is fine, long as nobody is hurt.

<TheCoolestTurtle>
<MADMAX>
and at the end of it all you still have each others backs
it sounds nice
<TheCoolestTurtle>
I do love my brothers, even if they can drive me crazy sometimes. I miss my oldest bro and baby bro a lot, but, hey, Dee and I got it on lock here.
<MADMAX>
and wishing people heres a shitty thing to do
ive got some homework to take care of so
ill see you tomorrow?
<TheCoolestTurtle>
Yeah, good luck on homework. See you tomorrow for skateboarding. Looking forward to having some fun tomorrow!

It's weirdly how she feels about Lucas and Erica sometimes, even though with the way they bicker she'd never tell them. She's not about to make her bullshit with Billy other people's problem...again. It's that again, in a way, so Max disengages, and tomorrow, it won't be an issue.
And you know, she endeavors to make it not an issue, even though driving around in her dead brother's car doesn't exactly lend well to that. That's just what happens, for the record, she pulls up to the skate park in a late 70s muscle car. Her driving, for the record has...improved, by virtue of needing to if she's going to be regularly driving into the city. But her stop is a little...rough. ]
action!
He moves nearer the entrance as the time approaches for Max's arrival. He is not disappointed.
That is a cool car. A very cool car. Be it one that comes to a rough stop. He slows to a stop, stepping off his board before lightly kicking it up into his waiting hand.]
Yoooo, Max! Nice wheels! You ready to skate?

She kills the engine and climbs out, throwing her shoulder in an attempt at a cool half-shrug. ]
Ready enough.
[ As in, she's still worried her legs are going to give out, stupid fucking things, but it's highly likely she can spin it as hooves being hard to manage.
She grabs her skateboard from the passenger seat—same board as a few months ago, created through a hoverboard and some wheels—and locks up the car. ]

Skate and live in the moment, Max!
[He trusts Max has it handled, unaware of her own uncertainty as he turns the board back around to skate towards Max casually.] Sounds better than skate or die, right?
